Title: 87PM jam
Post by: Marc JX8P on May 09, 2016, 08:57:11 AM
Hi everyone!

Last Thursday I did a jam with my 87PM bandmate Percy. We streamed it live on our YouTube channel which is quite easy to set up and fun to do. This is a recording that was made. Hope you'll enjoy it!

WOW  :;

You guys are as good live as you are on your CDs!

Great musicianship and creativity!  You two are pros!

PS - I liked this very much.

*blush*

Thanks guys! :) This was a lot of fun to do and we're definitely going to try to do it more.

We're currently still mastering our new cd and while working on the albums is very satisfying it takes ages and you get very obsessive about everything, so these improvised jams are a nice way to have play around an immediate result that you can show off. I can really recommend it!

A nice Jean Michel Jarre vibe to this....love the arpeggios and chords. 8) On a side note,here is an upcoming analogue synth you might want to add to your arsenal; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oa3h4srIzuE

Thanks guys! :-) A little background: the drums are hosted on Ableton Live and triggered by me using different low black keys to start the different drum loops. The arpeggios are generated by two different arpeggiators in Live, one going towards the Moog Sub 37 and the other to the DSI Mopho keyboard. The unfortunate consequence of this is that I can't use them for live playing but I think the ability to change the arpeggio sound by adjusting the filters outweighs that. Also, the Korg M3 and NL A1 are very versatile.
