Title: KVR October - meditation Post by: folderol on October 18, 2016, 10:45:15 AM My entry for this is one of my typicaly comparatively free-form compositions
Drifting It's small enough for both filetypes here too :) For those interested I used Rosegarden as a MIDI recorder: I started with just the chord progressions played while keeping an eye vaguely on the bar lines. Next I played the piano-esque part to this. Then the strings line. Finally, the fluty sound. Edited out a few duff notes, and made some minor adjustments (mostly to levels and positioning). This is absolutely beautiful! Title: Re: KVR October - meditation Post by: elwoodblues91 on October 18, 2016, 07:15:15 PM A bit too free-form for my pallet, but good chord progressions in first 1\3 or so,of this tune.

@rThom, I appreciate this is not your preferred genre, but thanks for your support. Title: Re: KVR October - meditation Post by: Marc JX8P on October 21, 2016, 02:08:27 PM Nice, relaxing track. Well done! Would have liked to hear a slow delay on the piano-like part as I think that would have added to the dreamyness (but then I'm a bit of a delay addict... ;) ).
Title: Re: KVR October - meditation Post by: folderol on October 21, 2016, 08:57:27 PM Thanks a lot Marc. No delays on in but it does have a sort of choir decay sound in the background - most noticeable on the higher notes :)
