This track will be our final of our live set, also for our  part of the next km-gig.
It was recorded live (directly from the PA) during rehearsal, she actually didn't know I was recording  Grin

About the song : It's a real Breton traditional, which was written in the 70's. I tells the story of the Bretons defending there identity in France. Britanny is original a celtic region and a lot of people here still are convinced that they are not French but celtic.

I redid the arrangement to put it in a more modern dress...

 Cheesy
Great stuff .....
this is certainly going to be a 'crowd pleaser' in the live setting.

To my old celtic ears the 'brass sounds' should be more traditional instruments.
I was listening to this and imagining Steeleye Span playing it.
Violin and mandolin taking the 'brass' part and a really strong electric guitar playing the supporting power chords  wOO

It's a pity I can't be there as I would love to play that guitar part.  Cry

Thanks for the comments  Cool
It sure is a pity that some of you can't come to the gig. It would be great to perform with a full KM band

James,
You are right of course, in a real 'celtic' arrangement there should be violins and the traditional instruments. I redid the arrangement without them to make the arrangement a bit more modern. This because we will perform this in Belgium and Belgium isn't celtic at all  Grin

Unfortunately, I can't understand French, but this sounds like a rocked-up rendition of a Renaissance-style of a tune. Yes, I am aware that this was written in the 70's thank so the original poster's comment, BUT it does have a chant-like quality to it that artistically captures that spirit of the ancient European folk. Folk-music is the term I'm looking for, and it's been given a the garb of 70s rock-n-roll for a modern appreciation.

Considering that this is live, I give it a definite thumbs up!
