Recently...I found a treasure trove of tasty freeware VST's.One of my favorites of all time,is U-HE's Podolski...as it has very inspiring sounds,a re-sizable GUI and an alternate skin!
This song is comprised of all freeware synths and the drum track is a Kontakt 5 drum kit.

Excellent song Thom.  You have proven that you don't need a ton of money to make good music.

Those free synths have come a long way, haven't they? I have had Podolski and Zebralette for some time now and they still impress me.
