Yeah, this isn't exactly a catchy melody, it's rather difficult to the ears.. Undecided
I tried myself an atonal experiment months ago and I must admit your track is much more cohesive and I like the imaginative side (it changes mood 2 times)
Not easy but it makes sense to me
Thanks for sharing, with your music, the listening experience is like a challenge sometimes (in a positive way, of course  Wink .)

Cheers

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

I've been trying to get my key-playing chops up a bit and was working these simple melodies all day while I watched a steady drip-drip-drip happen.

The sweeps of the strings are in odd places (they start out somewhat normal, but then I move them around till they aren't ah, normal) I started that technique earlier but is better shown in this piece.

The transitions are the finger exercises I made up for myself to get my ring finger to work a little smoother.

The last bit is reminiscent of steel drums (always atonal) And a little bit of dynamite cowbell goes along way (More Cowbell)

I should completely RTFM but I'm just an old guy who needs to fix a leak lol.

for fun and learning to use the forum I've attached a file and a picture of where I'm parked (on a sunny day 'natch)

cool little piece there Laguna Rising- reminds me of some early zappa-eske stuff (it's a vibe thing lol) I LIke It!
(mine was done in jest)
(it's a More Cowbell tune)
there's actually three pieces in this tune... the middle one is what I'm seriously working on but is still in a scribble stage.
Sorry, this one doesn't work for me at all Huh

ya, humor's that way sometimes.
Doesn't always work and I'm a pretty poor stand-up comic. Grin
Is the piece I inserted in this note more to your senses of teh muse?

Nice place where you are Bill, lovely view.

This 'Rain Tango danse' has many more different sounds and interesting arrangements
It doesn't sound finished, imho there are spots where something is missing

I'm also experiencing a lot of rain....  Lips Sealed

The Pacific coast is wonderful to look at, even when it's raining.
Today it's bright and sunny so I should hustle down to the waterfront and ride my bicycle.
It's too dangerous to ride bikes along the Chetco river.
Where I most times park it's all whispering pines, deer and babbling brooks.

The "Rain" tune was an attempt at describing a lonely feeling and I purposely left out most of the leading voice in that attempt...

It's the one of 2 tunes I still like from this years music.
StrngZ2 2 had just been released...

This is wierd, but it's what i've come to expect from you and i've always liked what you do cause it's so original and unexpected.  I liked this, but i had to listen a couple of times before i really got it. The only part i was'nt so sure about was the steel drum part, did'nt seem to fit in with the rest, but maybe that was the point. Overall though, loved it.  Smiley

Loved your "Anticipating something" cd btw. Brilliant.   Grin

hmmm... you might remember I paid dearly...
although running a truck is a little less expensive than running a house, the key word is "little"
and then you have to spend all your time looking for sun

gotta keep the batteries charged and all!
