Yes you do a good job capturing that typical mood & sound  of Hammer.
And this without a DX7 which was his main toy.

Listening to those tracks without the images is actualy interesting and shows how simple but still good sounding those tracks where.

K,

To the best of my knowledge,at least back in the day of the mid 80's-the Fairlight CMI keyboard was his main toy, which accounted for at least half of all the music that was written for the show back then.

I'm sure he must have used the DX7 somewhere at some point, but I know that he was and is, a big fan of Korg keyboards as well.

Yes,I agree,Jan Hammer's arranging talent is exceptional, making the best out of a simple compostion,as this was a specialty of his.

Some of his songs on the "Escape From Television" album have some pretty intricate pieces in them however.

He's a very seasoned & gifted musician with a impressive track record that spans way back, which is why he is such an inspiration to me. Smiley

Thanks for your comments on my rendition of this piece. Afro

Thom

Thom,

Your improvement over the last few months is inspirational!

This item is nicely crafted, and sounds like that period in television soundtracks. I especially liked that little hit at the end.
