I had the pleasure to collab with Mellotronaut on this song :

Charlotte on 156th

He provided the excellent vocals and sax and I did bass, guitars and keys
(and I managed to program drums, but it's a bit overdone infact it sounds like we have 2 drummers playing cymbals...)

Cheers

Hah!! This is great...this is so damn funny, but it's really good actually! Grin

I had flashbacks of being stoned off of my *ss...wow..what a memory. Roll Eyes Evil

I love the segments very much...the way that it is so mellow and then it just suddenly shifts into high gear-this is great fun. Afro

I can draw only one of two conclusions as to where the inspiration came from...either you two toked up on a great big fatty splif,or one or both of you were drunk from alcohol or drunk with joy via a woman.

This arrangement encapsilates that very muse.

This is raw,old school punk music at it's best...brilliant work!

I have to save this song to my document file.

Thanks for listening guys !

I'm naturally stoned and I didn't need to be under influence to write my parts  Grin lol
(..except maybe a glass of wine....)
We can ask mello for his inspired vocals...
Thanks for the kind words Thom  Cheesy I'm really glad for your positive review

Laguna, Mello,

This one is so far off the beaten path that I have to struggle to find a context within which I can assimilate the experience. It's very odd when one's normal descriptive terms and categories just won't cut it...

...nice going guys!

LR & Mello working together has to give a special result  Shocked
In one word, I love it.

The song is in a free form jazz style that you hear more and more here in French jazz clubs, mostly performed by young musicians who want to push the boundaries of jazz. A very good thing of course because that's what's jazz is all about and it keeps the style alive.

Great job guys  Cool

Heh. Very fun listen, reminds me of some odd times. I loved the 'overdone' percussive segments, splashes of energy amongst the laid back atmosphere. Nice composition..

A very interesting song, free form with style!

Creeping closer to Zappa and  Beafheart?

Two thumbs up.
