Kara,

If you think that is alot of hardware for not much of a song, check this out!!

I saw an interview with this woman. She states that despite all of her workstations, she does not sequence anything,as she feels that playing live is more organic.
She plays along with pre-programmed accompanyment programs...not very organic,if you ask me. Tongue

O boy, I have to show this to my wife... I knew I wasn't spending much money on my studio !

BTW: Does anybody knows how to play so many synth at the same time using both hands and no sequencer  Huh

There's music on the myspace link, some nice music, considering no seqyencers were used !

Presumably you could do it with direct MIDI connections. The routing might be erm... interesting Cheesy

A 'proper' organ player (not me!) could use a pedal board to control one as well Tongue

A proper controller keyboard could be split to layer sounds from different synths depending on the zone played..a dn most controllers have a very handy midi channel send control that facilitates changing midi channels quickly, aven using a pedal to switch between different setups (split zones, etc.).

Many many ways to lay it out depending on the use.

I'd like to know the difference between a sequence and a 'preprogrammed accompaniment program'... Grin
