As of May;

Well, here is a little twist on this file, nothing really different. Cooled down the percussion, EQ'd my 'bells' a bit, ah, oh and an extra 45 sec or so. Enjoy.

This is a very nice piece of ambience, but unfortunately it looks like it got corrupted either in your final mix or when converting to mp3. There are several breaks like the one below Sad

Ditto

The same thing happened here.

Great song though!

Thank you for listening, the 'skipping' sound was quite purposeful. At first I thought there really was a problem because your cursor is there (in audacity) and it looked like there was an ugly slice of sound clipping- then I realized it was your cursor (it is, right? That'd stink if it weren't!).

Despite my relatively ambient style I tend to listen to the likes of Venetian Snares, Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, ah, and then it just gets plain random. Bottom line is I like glitchy sounds, I'm just not that great at using them. So I incorporate small things, like the ones you perceived as errors. It's personal preference, and a minority preference, but yeah, the mix is how I meant it to be.

Thanks again,

Nice and simple ambient track but nontheless interesting
Wise use of soft sounds without losing presence

Thanks for listening Laguna. Heh, Folderol, completely normal reaction, no worries.  Tongue

I slipped an organ in there, but it just seemed too dominant, I'm pretty happy with the song, I'll probably add around a minute more to it.. if I'm feeling ambitious. I have musical ADD, I think.

This forum has been my introduction to ambient electronic music, and this piece is the next step in my education.
Over-all, unexpectedly enjoyable!

Thanks Oren. It made it more 'crappy speaker' friendly. Had to chide myself for mixing primarily on my headphones.  Shocked

Haha..then no wonder it sounds so good to me..I listen primarily with headphones.  Smiley

Really pretty  and soothing and mellow, and the little mini-interruptuses help
keep a little measure of balance.

This song is a nice example of the lovely ambient moods that got me interested in
learning about electronic music making. I am always hearing guitar possibilities.

Like the old saying goes, "When your only tool is a Stratocaster, everything looks like a nail."

Hammered,

Cool

Grin I'll have to remember that saying. Thanks for listening Wyatt (yes, I like headphones, I want some Sennheisers and/or some nice in-ear buds eventually, my hand-me-down philips will work for the time being though)

Thanks again,
