Mario did a good job on his end,but I f**ked up the vocals big time. It's karaoke from hell...only listen to it if you've got a strong stomach. Tongue Roll Eyes

And yes I know,I'm singing out of my vocal range again,as I forgot how hard this was to sing....I used to sing this regularly in bars back in the day,but those days are over.

Mario & I want to do another collab though,so I'll try not to screw up the next one.

Thom

Perhaps not from hell  Grin
I agree it was a bit over the top.
I did follow this tread and I must admit that I was a bit surprised that you kept in the original key.
CCR is not an easy task, even here in France you hear it in public in karaole evenings and most often it sound worse then what you did  Roll Eyes

Thom,

I like your performance better than John Fogerty's.

Just drop the key a couple of semi-tones, and do it again. Take your time, do it your way, get it right.
You have good vocal performance instincts - develop them. wOO

Kara,

There may very well be worse karoake performances out there, but the whole idea was to not sound karoake-like. Undecided Grin

Oren,

You give sound, reasonable advice, but my instincts are to sing it in the original key & octave,or not do it at all.

It was an error in judgement on my part to do it,but I wanted to challenge myself and I did,and I'll just leave it at that.

Thanks for the support guys-much appreciated!

I take this as a fun-track-karaoke-thing and I don't care if the vocals are a bit forced in that key
This was a nice mid-rock thing and you give us the idea pretty well
I enjoyed that for what it is, and my 'judgment' is positive
Thanks for sharing

Cheers

I've fixed much worse.. Cheesy

You already know what needs work, so no sense commenting there, except to say if you were singing every dayI think you could reach that range comfortably again.

It was a pretty good arrangement and sounds like you had fun, which is what counts.

Bob,

Thanks for the support & encouragement-much appreciated. The thing of it is though,is that even though I enjoy singing here & there,it's still not my main focus,as my main interest lies in instumental work,so that being said,I don't plan on conditioning myself up to the point were I can pull off that high vocal range successfully.

Regards,

Nice job. Nice and clean backingtracks. Perhaps a little timing issue on the vocals.
Anyhow a nice project and a good collab.

It is said that tight pants will do that job also  Grin
