Despite my tech issues with my previous Xio,I had planned on giving it a go on another one, hoping that my experience with old one was an isolated incident.

Even though I preferred the control layout of the X-Station over the Xio,the price of the Xio was the compelling factor, since both sound engines on these models are the same.

However though,in having read through some Xio-user experiences on Myspace,I discovered that I was not alone in my debaucle with the defects I was contending with.
As it turns out,one user had the same defects with ALL THREE of the XioSynths that he had purchased.
In corresponding with this user,he had mentioned of yet another person with similar problems. Shocked Angry
What's really interesting about all of these occurances,is that all of these XioSynths came from Zzounds.com.

Zzounds.com seemed to be unwilling to acknowledge or address this problem,as they claimed to be unaware of such issues with the XioSynth.

I then contacted my sales rep at Sweetwater.com and explained the situation.
He stated that he had no knowledge of any such problems with the XioSynth, but him being a 3 year owner of the X-Station,he explained to me that the X-Station is a better audio interface and because of the additional controls, the X-Station is ideal for computer sequencing. Cool

I ultimately wanted a 61 keyboard anyway and I've never had a problem with Sweetwater's customer service whatsoever,so all this being said,it seems as though I was destined to own the X-Station instead.

At this particular juncture,I can't really recommend the XioSynth to anyone, but if someone here for some reason, feels compelled to buy a XioSynth, then I would strongly recommend that this person buy it from a retailer that has a good return policy,as well as good customer service! Wink
