Who? Me?

Well I bottled it on the KVR contest this week, I couldn't come up with anything original that suggested speed (no not that speed) but having not joined in for several months I was determined to make some sort of contribution.

I came up with this Cheesy

Nice pads with deep sounds (to build the atmosphere) and good leads with different sounds
I enjoyed this 1-minute-track. Cool

I'm a bit confused by the theme and I think it's not easy to render the idea of speed  Undecided

Cheers

Thanks a lot. I'm thinking that later I'll do some more work on this. Somehow I reckon I've managed to produce the end of a tune Huh

Yes it is a bit hard to work out just what's wanted. I'm hoping to hear what everyone else has done during this weekend.

I agree with L.R., nice pads, good leads and super tone choices.

I think you should plan on expanding and finishing this one.  You have that start of a really good idea/song here.

PS- I didn’t think the song had any resemblance to speed of any kind!

I just liked it!

Very easy for me to slip into this one.

I hope you will be making a longer version..

..the ending of a song??  ..interesting way to look at it.

..or maybe the beginning?

Cool

Will,

Fascinating choice of sounds and immersive chord progressions-very pretty. Cheesy

This piece is off to a great start and hope to hear the polished version soon. Cool

Thanks again guys.

OK ok I'll work on extending it Smiley

@kara
I was thinking of this as an end, probably because I try to make composition entries have a distinct close rather than a fade out, but looking at it again, it would take very little change to make it 'open'.

PS
Those pads are from four of my Zyn voices played synchonously but at different pitches: Ice Field, Breathy Pad, Smooth, Full Strings

This is then passed though an instance of jamin with a 7dB notch at 800 Hz. It is a synth sound I've been trying to achieve for a very long time!

I understand the quest completely..

..and what a fruitful one it was for you in this song.

Cool

Big, lush production!
All the life and tonal complexity of a thoughtfully wielded electric guitar, but with no sore fingers or damage to the furniture.... Cheesy

(so, Zyn has teeth, eh?)

Hi Will, my new brother. Cheesy
Nice piece of music.
The funny thing is that I made nearly the same intro in August 2007, but never made a whole song.
I think we are brothers in the spirit. Cool Cheesy
