The more I listened to the first take, the more I wanted to make changes,so I altered the lyrics, lyrical melodies and added vocal layer tracks...I could not rest until I put the necessary overtime in this one-I hope you enjoy this version. Smiley

Retreating back to the welcoming world again
To the only blanket of freedom I visit every now & then
All without a ticket to ride, nor without board or fare
Distance unaccounted for, paying no mind to miles before...don't care

Transcendental transport-no estimation of destination
Solitary, winding road with no anticipation or elation
I'll leave it all behind, heading for a sign
Unaware of what I'll find,a rendevouz with nothing in sight

Intricate schemes of themes...of the future...with no adhesion or completion
No destination or affirmation...of self...

Reality radiating through my window, traffic through my head-which ever way the wind blows
Time to erect myself out of bed,hit the ground screaming-confront life instead

Time is all I have before me,time to grab all that is for free

Thom,

I like this one better..

..a most interesting dreamlike quality..so appropriate.

..cohesive, with a lot of artistic identity.

Glad you were tenacious with it.

Cool

I REALLY like this one Thom!  I believe this is the best you’ve done to date.

Excellent choice of tones and rhythms that add to your excellent vox.

This is a professional mix all the way.

I’d try to push and/or sell this one Thom.  It’s excellent!

Wyatt & Mario,

Yeah,I'm glad I put the extra time in this one,as it turned out to be of of those projects that needed to ironed out more and I am very content with the results and I fell very accomplished.
Having feedback from a pool of accomplished musicians is icing on the cake & affirms my sense of purpose as an artist-my deepest thanks to both of you for your very kind words-much appreciated! Cheesy

Massive improvement - more musical, more thoughtfully presented.

A suggestion: Put this one away; resist the inclination toward further tweakage. Artistically it is premium, but in a few months, pull it out and have a fresh listen... there are a few technical things you will want to iron out. The song is worth it.

Very good.

Hi Thom
this is a solid song with many interesting 'openings', I like how it goes on with 'breathing' breaks, and changes in rhythm and mood. Expressive vocals working fine for each section.
Well done

Cheers
