Here we go again

This is a fairly old track that I started looking at yesterday intending to just correct a few defects and make a new clean recording, but you know how it is, I ended up making a completely new mix. It now uses mostly Zyn, but three of the voices come from my Sound Canvas.

Incidentally the title comes from a friends comment the first time she heard it

You have a real distinctive style. Nice progression, and I like the key change..

Yep,I agree with Wyatt-you can indeed recognize the Folderol trademark sound...makes me think of the movie;"Charlie & The Chocolate Factory...some nice nostalgia from when I was a wee rug-rat.

I really liked this one.  I thought the production was top shelf all the way.  Great sounds and melodies.

When a friends two daughters heard the first version of this, they had a little giggle then jumped up and did a sort of stylised Egyptian hieroglyphics dance.

Nice theme, well developped throughout the song (surprising half tone shift in the middle, works well).
The only thing that IMO could be improved is the bass, it is a bit static to my ears (could use some variation, to make it more lively).

I think you can't deny such a thing exhists, and I must say I like your style since it have a tendency to use enough variations and its melodies are most of the time catchy and keep up the attention.

This Music auditorium forum is open to everyone but the 'usual suspects' are about 10-12 persons and I believe if we submit 4 or 5 songs anonymously and we try to guess the author there'll be no or few mistakes.
(unless we try to hide our style of course)

Anyway I like how this is structured and it works well. Excellent arrangement and the choice of the right sound for each part is making the difference.

Listening again, I can see what you mean. The bass does tend to 'plod'. I will have to take another look at this.

I think you are probably right. I guess all our music has it's own 'genetic code' even when we try to go out of style.
