Again, thanks for comments.
I enter the contest not for prizes. They are of little interest to me, really.
However, to me the whole contest issue is about being given a challenge and rising to that.
To do something new that you would not have done if you had not been challenged.
This has been proven, to me, in this case.
It was only as an afterthought that I actually decided to work with this theme. The drumloop gave me the backbone of the composition and inspired the idea.
After taking the composition away from the original conception I was able to improve on it.
This is how I like to learn. Attempting a new venture then taking in criticism from ones peers to make improvements.
Kara-moon is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best music site in the world.
