I've been lucky enough to beta test GMedia's wonderful M-Tron Pro (http://www.gforcesoftware.com/) and can state first hand that it's a really cool instrument full of analog warmth and has loads of patches varying from original mellotron tape banks to optigan stuff and even some synth material. I didn't think I was a mellotron fan until I played with this one! Smiley

In any case, I also did create some of the presets and I was asked to create a demo track which is on their site but which I also want to share with you here. I know it sounds a bit like a commercial but I really like Gmedia's products and very much recommend looking at them!

Anyway, here's the demo track, hope you like it (and it's all the M-Tron Pro!).

Please note: this is a 48kHz, 192 bits mp3 so it may not play back correctly over the web. It should be 2 mins in length. Alternatively, listen to it on the M-Tron Pro demo page! Wink

Hey that's cool Marc.  wOO

I've been using the old M-tron quite a lot in my recent songs. (to the point someone said I used it too much  Grin) I'm just a big mellotron fan. So I'll be upgrading to the M-tron Pro as soon as possible and check out your presets  Smiley

Those guys are so lucky to have you on board! And the demo with only M-Tron Pro sounds - smooth move Cool
Plus, that 48/192 MP3 (which played very well here)... it just doesn't get any cooler.

Thanks guys, glad you like the track! I have to really credit the M-Tron though as it really works inspiring and it's both fun to play with and to create new sounds that still have that smouldering tape sound.

Oh, I know I sound like a commercial Cheesy but I'm really impressed with this thing. Like I said, it made me change my mind about using mellotron sounds!

Impressive in its own right, regardless of being a demo Cool

... so when are we going to get the extended version?  Cheesy

Thanks guys! Not sure if I'll do a  full length version, though. I hadn't thought of that.
