a tune i made 2 years ago. at that time it was 22nd of december 2006. we're always gathering together this night every year to get hammered/stoned/high and have a good time before the hollidays start.
so i was sitting at home before i was leaving. started a new project in renoise. found me a good sample of a guy being interviewd (THAT IS SO WRONG SPELLED! .. interviewed? interv.. i'm stoned, sorry lol) Afro
anyway, .. he was interviewed by some christian religious radio or tv show. anyway, there's where the 'few beers' samples come from. i love sampling. the other guys speaking, later in the tune, "you're not that person everybody thinks you are" is from an interview with bob dylan from the late 60's early 70's.

i personally think this is one of my best pieces so far, even though it's one of the first things i ever did. it has it's flaws, but i'm thinkin' bout doing some more with it.

if any of you guys have some ideas for it. give me a heads up and we might just have a collab going Wink

Great drums & bass, this sounds very live !
At 1:25 it takes a bit a strange direction which I didn't understand.
And obviously it needs a proper ending  Grin

Very much agree with Rony here.

Also, I think you need someone with a mean sounding Sax on it Cool

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

In the early 1970s a group of us were working with material from John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra, trying to create music outside of accepted time signatures and keys. Speaking of strange directions... Cheesy

This tune reminds me of that Mahavishnu free-form style Afro
Incidentally, drugs or alcohol just end up getting in the way when you're playing this stuff - a player needs to be focused and in the moment...

Mahavishnu is one of my favourite groups and my prefered song is 'One word' where John McLaughlin plays with his double neck guitar.
The obvious reason that it is my favourite song of them are the bass licks played by Jack Bruce !
I personaly think that Jack Bruce plays way better here then he did with the Cream.

To me, music is the "drug" wOO

I am a big fan of Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker.
Their work with more creative people showcases instrumental skill and artistic sensibilities that were not evident in the recordings from Cream. Mahavishnu is a good example.

It remembers me of the Soft Machine a bit, but anyway it sound great, you really should add a sax or clarinet to it.
