I was purusing through the KorgForum website & I came across this link & witnessed the most incredible keyboard solo I have ever seen-hands down & he did it on my old Korg 01/W!

i have plenty must-see videos i could post. but while you're at keyboards i thought i'd post one aswell. this is not live-improv, but the good old moogs have the best sounds ever. also check out their other stuff aswell. early '90 coverband The Moog Cookbook. The video i'm posting isn't the best tune they've got, but the video is well good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQYNcZmbOEc

Tom....

Still got the old keyboard? If not, why not? Gonna rush right out and find another one? Today? Grin

This guy takes the synth keyboard from the category of dubious electronic oddity Cheesy to virtuoso instrument - no questions, no doubt, end of story. For my taste, right up there with a fine violin or concert grand piano. Very inspiring!

Roger,

The "Cookbook" had style, and some neat retro sound Cool

The thing (for me) that sets Vitalij Kuprij apart from most synth jockeys is chops, and passion, and humor.

Thom, Vitalij Kuprij is one of the best keyboard players out there.
Although he has a classical training, he plays for years in the band 'Artension'.
One of there famous songs is : Into the blue http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DVf6XrYuPYc

Kara,

I agree,as I think V.K. is unmatched in speed & precision...but I also think he is more technical than anything else,as I am not so impressed with his level of creativity.
His arrangments are a little too 80's-metal-top 40 -mainstream for my tastes.
