My Korg M50 arrived two hours ago & since then,it was nearly impossible to pry myself away from this beauty, just long enough to come online & write about it!
I knew what I was in for before I bought one,but man...it's incredible to actually own this synth & to have it in front of me to tinker with ANY TIME I WANT TO!
In terms of materials & the tactile aspect of it..well..for a keyboard that weighs a mere 15 lbs,it a fairly solid board, but I would not recommend gigging with this synth without a flight case(one of which that allows you to remove the top half of the case, while the bottom half remains with the keyboard inside),as this entire keyboard is plastic.
The key action is very light, which I will have to adapt to,but the keys are spring loaded & the size of the keys fit my fingers well..so no major issues of
performance hinderance here.

This synth is by no means a toy in any way...it is in fact,a seriously professional quality performance & recording tool,as most of the sounds are equal to my Korg Triton EX and amazingly enough,a considerable amount of the sample ROM is surprisingly superior to the Triton....yes-REALLY!
Particularly the synth pads, leads, electric guitars & the drums are absolutely jaw-dropping in sonic prowess,in comparison to my Triton(at least a fair amount of them are).
The aesthetic quality of this synth is remarkable, with the innovative layout of the controls,a very handsome black & white screen & the craftsmanship of the angled design is wonderful!
One of the most incredible aspects of this synth,is that I have never heard so many USABLE & ultra-pristine sounds out of a keyboard at this price point...I am really just in shock over it,as the reality of this keyboard is so overwhelming for the money...WOAH!
I made a very crude demo of the M50..just thumbing through some of the programs,to give you an idea of what this synth is capable of,but really,I am not even scratching the surface with this MP3....enjoy! Cheesy

AFTER HAVING LAID OUT A COMPLETE SONG & THEREBY BECOMING MORE FAMILIAR WITH THE M50'S POTENTIAL,I MUST TELL YOU THAT THIS SEQUENCER IS SO MUCH MORE ADVANCED THAN MY TRITON EX.
I'd like to point something else out & this is important...despite the fact that the M50's pianos are not the showcase of this synth, virtually every other sound set on this keyboard is so amazing, that you will faint when you hear them!!
I'm actually predicting that the M50 will in fact,be one of the largest selling(if not THE single most selling),workstation to ever hit the market,as it clearly is the best $1,099.oo you could possible spend on a hardware workstation!
This is the keyboard of the millenium for the price and to me personally,it is the "Oasys" of all keyboard workstations in this price range-hands down!!

Looks like your very happy with your new workstation, cool  Cool
That The Doors sound is actually very close to the real thing.
And the slap bass sounds could fool a lot of non-bass players I think.
