Saw the demo videos for this one... Very, very cool and another thing to envy the guitarists amongst us over! Smiley

You know, that and the fact that they're already getting all the attention by dancing around in front of the band, having an instrument with which you already look cool just by holding it and having a way easier time to get their stuff from one gig to another than the poor sods who play keys... Wink

You're not a poor sod, Marc... you're a very special sod... Kiss
And to help assure you of that, next time we gig together, I'll  just play guitar, and you can dance around in front of the band. What a team!

In the hands of an artistic player, it's amazing!
A competent guitarist who knows his/her effects and tonal qualities can make most of these sounds with regular digital/analog gear. Not to belittle the rig, but even with my limited skills and the old Digitech RP12, I can come close to what we see/hear on these demo videos.
The Moog guitar looks to be a legitimate guitar phenomenon, but like all guitars... it still depends on the skill of the player - thankfully! Cheesy

Not normally..    Smiley

..but here is a little gizmo that does add some extra fx to the
already dizzying deluge of pedals and magic boxes that guitar
players are hopelessly addicted to:

http://www.ebow.com/

As for sustain there is:

http://www.ebow.com/ebow/audio/holdx.mp3

I have gotten similar results using an electric razor with the
cutting head off..

hehe..I wasn't using the razor for anything else anyway.

To continue..here are the woodwinds:

http://www.ebow.com/ebow/audio/woodx.mp3

..some violin arpeggios:

http://www.ebow.com/ebow/audio/vioarpx.mp3

..and just to make sure we run this sucker into the ground,
a snip from Eleanor Rigby:

http://www.ebow.com/ebow/audio/elanor.mp3

All this for under a hundred bucks!

Caution:  Unlike magic boxes, which impress the snot out of me,
you do have to actually learn to play this one.   Wink

Happy New Year,

Cool

Love,

Wyatt

Hehe - on second thought, with the painful memories of the dancing at the last KM gig in my head, I'll leave the dancing up to others and just make sure I'll be moving a bit in synch with the music behind my keyboard!* Grin

* Seriously: a while ago I was editing a movie made from the show Percy and I did in June and during one editing procedure the movie played back double speed. Double speed - and while Percy was all over the screen, it seemed like I was still moving at just below normal speed! Tongue

That's just the noise Moon makes before he says something funny - sort halfway between a cough and a laugh. You'll get used to it... Wink Cheesy
