Again I had 3 hours delay on the airport of Edingburgh  Roll Eyes
The only thing you can do at that moment is have a beer and explore  the airport shops, I wonder if they don't do it by purpose, just to force you to go to those shops  Undecided

In a hifi shop a vendor talked my into in ear headphones... when I said I was a musicians and worked a lot on a laptop with earphones (on airports and in hotels amongst others) he said he had the perfect in ear headphones for me. I've allways been a bit sceptic about those things, after all how can you get good quality from small things like that, they are just made to listen to some MP3 players, right ? Well no wrong !

I listened to SONY EX high precision monitors
Here are the specs :
- Multiple layer diaphragm, what ever that is....
- Freq. response : 5 - 25Khz !!!
- Sensitivity : 106 db/mw
- Special external noise reduction soft silicone ear buds.

Now to be honest, I was amazed about the quality, I had Senheiser foldable earphones which are good quality, but those SONY ear buds are incredible.
I wonder how they can have such a good response, expecialy in the lower range in such a litle buds Huh
Having said that they are pretty expensive, but I couldn't resist  Wink

I've tried a few different types, but the biggest problems I have is getting them to stay in place, and not getting uncomfortable after a long session Sad

I would actually accept a loss of quality if I could achieve a comfortable fit!

I had the same problem as you Will and always stayed far from in-ear monitors.
But those are realy exceptional thanks to a new design and the soft silicon protection which come in 3 sizes in a way they fit any ear.
