Wow, thats a boat!  Shocked
You should take it over here and I'll show you the fjords of Norway...oh you sold it...well, build a new one  Tongue

It took three years to build that boat, and two months to rig it. That was somewhat of a speed record.

I know that feeling when you get on land and things won't stop moving. It's quite unpleasant Lips Sealed

That usually happens early on, just before you adjust to it..then it doesn't bother you any more..you just walk funny.  Tongue

@wyatt
dunno-
I'll be in the Sacramental CA area in a week or so and I'll stay there until I go somewhere else. Grin

No plans, no expectations no bothers.

As a more normal view of the same beach is this:

that doesn't show how big these wavs are but these pics give a better scale, shot the next day by the coast guard auxillary

the cutter is about 15 meters (47')

although it completely turned over, cutters are self-righting

- why I don't go on boats lol.

...due more battering tomorrow and the rest of the week.
I think I like the Oregon coast because of Pacific extremes!
The moderate temps here keep me happy, as I'm burning about 3-4 gallons of propane per week. Hardly any people during the winter.

I lived in the Florida Keys in the early 70's, but having re-visited in '02 I wasn't enthralled with the masses.
Although I do miss snorkeling!

Good thinking..I now live equidistantly far from any ocean.  Smiley

Sounds like you are "in the pocket" on that..low propane use and no people..perfect formula for wintering-over. I have pulled a trailer into some fairly out of the way places in November, and then had them fill up in December..yikes!! ..and wouldn't you know it, the first person to come into the campground would inevitably park right next to me..

..hmm..have to count years backwards on my fingers..that must be a sign of something.  Smiley  ..I was in Key West in '01..on a mooring in Garrison Bight..2 1/2 miles from the dinghy dock..a few hundred yards from the Navy Seals "Better Not Land Here, Sucka" signs..used to watch them parachute into the ocean and then get picked up by helicopter..

Weird town, Key West..it's kind of like cafe' racing at the zoo.  Smiley

I was doing a re-fit with some parts I picked up in Naples on the way down..some of the hardware the designer spec'ed out failed in our first storm..so I got busy and overbuilt the hardware..found me a nice little island and outfitted my (dinghy) 12 foot Carolina Skiff for big game fishing..Grouper and Barracuda are still my favorite eating fish.

I used to spear fish under the boat and then fire up the little stainless steel BBQ..yeah..it had its moments.

Keep warm; keep dry.
