Layers : Lovely intro, I like that glazy piano sound. I would have loved that the song gets of a bit earlier after the drum comes in, but it worth waiting , nice bass riff. Surprising change of rythm around 3, sounds very good and focusses the attention. Lovely song, you should make more of those Sunday : Good foundation, looking forward to finished version. Kara

Love the piano-pad transitions, almost like the piano's release morphs into the pad's attack. I think I'm with Kara in that after the drums come in, things need to progress a bit faster, either that or the drum track needs to be presented in parts rather than all together. The drums are a bit loud, don't you think? It would also be tempting for me to take some of the drum sounds now and then and throw some dub-like effect on them to re-enforce the dreamy, trippy quality and to tie them a bit more to the underlying pads.
I know, you said it's a work in progress. Great start!

Thanks for listening and your input. Yeah the drums are a wee bit loud in Layers, and the dub effect would suit it well

I love the piano chords, not sure if the piano arpeggio down works; the timing is nice but in my view it conflicts a bit with the rhythms. Talking about the rhythms, cool! They have a nice crisp sound and work really well. Nice chord progressions too and the song has nice variation. You have created a nice mix too with a very open sound in which all the elements come through. Very nice!

Hi Elv many good elements in this track, I like how the instruments comes in, perfect timing... Oh yes it's called intro... The tension grows and then comes a full force rhythm. Very nice Keep on

Elv, With regard to the drums coming in earlier-as per Kara's wish,I don't agree with that. I think the intro is interesting enough with it's length and it set's up the mood of the song beautifully. Ambient & trance songs are generally constructed differently than conventional pop songs anyway-that being said,I think the song is perfect. Overall,it's a very seductive, relaxing song that put's my mind in the clouds hovering over Iceland. Elwood

I especially like 'Layers' It's going straight into my 'keep' folder! Incidentally, my player doesn't show any id3 tags for it, and I always like to be able to see at least some composer info - cos I forget easily
