The PC3
LE of course,is the scaled down version of the PC3 line as the LE indicates, but really,to call this particular model a "lite" version,is unjust.
As a matter of fact, there are indeed, improvements made actually,as a couple of new features were added to the LE,which are semi-weighted keys for the 73 & 61 models & yes....a USB port for storing data on thumb drives-YAHOO!!Equally good news,is that essentially, the PC3
LE has all the sonic prowess of it's big brother,as the VAST engine & sample sounds are identical in sonic scope.
The key differences though,is that the LE has half the polyphony, less effects processing power & full editing is not possible. However though, the synthesis engine is in tact on the LE & basic, commonly used parameters will still be functional(
given the size of the LCD screen,in depth editing will not be missed on this board anyhow).
The cost of the LE line will be considerably lower than the PC3 line, but pricing has not been defined as of yet....I am speculating though, that the 88 key will be around $1,500...73 key $1,200 & the 61 key at $1,000(to compete with the Korg M50).
The PC3LE is due to be released in the Summer of this year,so expect the LE to be unveiled at the Summer Namm show in June!! -Thom
