This is a derivative work. It's based on a controversial Danish mega sculpture, called Elia situated outside of Herning.

All sounds are from a field recording from a visit to the sculpture.

This is perhaps a new project from me. Music from art. Interesting subject.

Argh. I make girly music  Cheesy

I'm thinking about doing an album (or project) with this kind of art-derived pieces.

But there's a bunch of this stuff on my site: www.respirator.dk

May I call you Res?

This one was a big stretch for a guy who wears army boots and carries a pocket knife... the question: is it music, or noise?

I say music. Not the "rythm and rhyme and harmony" type, but a thoughtfully composed listening experience. Big sound, great production values, no harmonica. Cool.

This is certainly an interesting concept. At about 1:30 or so when the sounds start to become rhythmic it starts to peek my interest a bit more. I would definately have to say that this is one of the more unusual things i have downloaded to listen to. It stands apart and ,even though it is probably not consumable for most, that is a very good thing. Keep experimenting. Thanks for sharing your work  Smiley

Oren: You may not call me Res. Thomas will do fine  Wink And thanks for listening!

Van Greco: I'm glad you suffered through the whole thing. I hope you'll listen to more stuff like this in the future.

Thomas,

This is my favourite of your two compositions here at 'dark and evil'.
The idea of combining locational sounds to create a mood is new to me, and opens up some interesting sonic doorways...

Now look what you've done!

TBH I don't know nothing about this kind of music, that's why I'm happy that we have a dedicated mod to this section.
But I have to admit that, looking at the pic and listening to the music, it is perfect !
It's the perfect incarnation of an image in music.

Great !

I agree..around a minute and a half it starts boppin right along.

..this is a very large container that my imagination pours into.

..all it needs is a little harmonica. Grin

Hello,

I am very impressed by your immense creativity & it's fantastic for what it is,but I have to admit I was really aching for a bass line and a keyboard chord along with it.
If you added two tracks of melodies & went with the sound effects without adding percussion,I think it would be a fascinating marriage of the two-which would be similar to the band-Art Of Noise.
