This is why I am so glad we have a national health service here in the UK.  To me, access to life saving medical care is a basic fundamental human right, regardless of wealth/social status.  I'm only 35 and I've had two heart attacks in the past 5 years, and I'm currently undergoing tests to see if I need a heart bypass or transplant, I hate to think what my situation would be if the decision on my life was made by someone in an insurance company whose main responsibility was to the company shareholders rather than a surgeon with my best interests at heart.
