After spending some time with his mixdown, mastering it, then listening to his master...my conclusion: this guy is good!

It would help me to be more familiar with the "bass and drums" genre, but after half an hour of tinkering with my favourite mastering tools, I could not improve on his sound.

Just confirms that I don't know nothing about mastering, when I see his 'chain' of mastering plugs, I wouldn't know how to handle this  Roll Eyes

I don't know if Oren has ever mentioned musicmastering.org
Its another site with mastering and premastering tips..  we know the guys that own the site..
Other mastering engineers are saying they want to donate an article to the site, so it will be a project that grows over time.

Will Duke gave us a pretty good drum article.
A famous mastering engineer named Bob was going to give us an article but insisted he hosted the article and we pulled it from there.. which was like giving him a link I had no control over so I had to pass on that one..
