I met elwoodblues1969 on another forum and he suggested I check it out over here. Here's a song I just finished using Studio One DAW and thought you'd all be interested. Let me know and I hope to get to know the folks in here.

This song is about someone I know who lost his wife to a drunk driver.

Wow, thanx a ton. Actually, I've only tried a few times to get my stuff published and I guess I haven't found the right place yet. I sent some stuff to Paramount Publishing in Nashville and they sent me a letter back saying and I'll quote the letter here.....

"Dear Mr Geib, it sounds like you have put a considerable amount of effort into you material already and feel we could not improve on the sound. How ever, we do not shop material we did not produce so we do not have a service that would suit your needs."

The other 2 places responded the same way pretty much. Even TAXI. (and one place pretty much said they didn't believe I did it all in my home...lol) And here I though I was helping them out and all they would have to do is shop it stuff. See, Paramount, if you don't spend $1000 to have them record you idea, they're not interested. Which to me shows they probably don't even shop the stuff they get. They just take the money and move to the next sucker.

It's sad because I don't wanna be a rock star, just a song writer. I pretty much gave up from there and just kept writing for anyone who was interested in listening. I would really like a publishing deal though. I have a catalog of over 300 songs recorded and ready.

You know, you'd figure, since I've done all the work, some publishing company would be willing to shop at least a few of my songs...... lol. But heck, if TAXI doesn't think they can help, maybe the stuff just isn't marketable.

So, all that aside, I'm just glad a few of you like it and please feel free to criticize (constructively, of course)

Thanx again for listening.
