These show a very well integrated Linux DAW setup - far more complex and well maintained than I do!

In the second vid the guy is using some of the new MIDI controls in the experimental version of Yoshimi.

The slight downside is that the commentators voice is at a very low level compared with the sounds.

Yoshimi,  QMidiArp and ladish are only available on one OS - Guess which Smiley

Looks like the guy is using one of the ultra-lightweight desktops. Probably XFCE.

Puredyne uses that XFCE as its default desktop...
