Symphonic - "Across the Kingdoms"

This is my third attempt at something symphonic, and my second attempt with the right tools -- namely the Mirsolav "Philharmonik" orchestral library.

Here it is:   Across the Kingdoms
Time: 6:32

The main-theme melody is not-quite-arabic: moreso in some kind of exotic minor key with modulations.  In my mind, I could easily write you a short story to go along with the "soundtrack", but that'd be silly.  Basically, think an eastern medival european setting... kingdoms... a distant romance... inner turmoil... all of this ending in a triumphant hope.

To any orchestration veterans: please tear it to pieces.

One problem I had with writing this is that my CPU is starting to stutter... too many samples and effects.  I plan on making this piece better, but that'll take some serious bother to get FLstudio to cooperate with my CPU.

I'm not an orchestral veteran, not even a beginner
But this sounds realy good to me.
It sounds very realistic to me, and that piano is real good.
The mix sounds allmost perfect to, very good usage of the stereo image.
Only thing I'm not funned of, is the split of the right and left hand of the piano to the 2 channels. I know, you're not the first one to this, but it's not my thing.

And, last but not least, excelent composition !!
Perhaps you could add some more cellos or contrabass to add a bit more low end to the mix, could make it sound more complete perhaps ?

It sounds good to me. Very nice overall sound and lovely melodies.

I would pan the piano into a much smaller part of the stereo image, at least if you are going for a realistic stage sound.  Personally, I think it could use some more moving lines in places.  Like what you did around 2:40 - 3:00 was really nice.

I like it, you did a good job with arrangement Northern_Fist !
Of course, it sounds good because it's an excellent piece of music.
I like the melodies, they are really appropriate for orchestral music. There's a good balace among instruments playing in different parts of the range. The piano is the main instruments here, but it has sober role not being too invasive or too cheesy, nice playing and sound.

Sounds excellent to me!

Love the piano playing/comp....very nicely done.

My programs/PC create bother as well with lots of tracks. Have to use a freeze function most of the time. It works, but it is an irratant.

Very nice... The track itself is wonderful and very atmospheric and it sounds very realistic to me. Movie music for sure! The panning is very well done too but maybe a bit too extreme - I miss the middle in the mix. However, this could be my speaker setup and in any case I love the transperency of the mix. Well done!

I had this running in the background earlier this evening, and for a moment (3.10-3.30) I actually forgot it wasn't a real orchestra. It was just very pleasant to listen to.
