 Lips Sealed
Whilst trawling through some old ‘novelty comedy’ songs I came across this one.
It’s from the great Fats Waller from 1939, although there have been many other versions including the wonderful Leon Redbone.
As my piano skills are a bit lacking for something like this I thought I would draft in the ‘OffTheWall Jug Band’ again to put their inimitable stamp on things.
To that end we have (all real instruments) : acoustic 50’s archtop guitar, acoustic fretless bass, mandolin, dobro, jug and swanee whistle.

Your Feets Too Big.
 Cheesy

Sounds like an organized mess, but I admit, it's well organized and it made me laugh  Cheesy

Good luck with the contest

I have heard both the original and Leon Redbone’s version and I must say you did this justice.  This is just as good as the other two.

Great work here James.  It’s one of your best to date.

Authentic vibe, LongHair, in every detail.
Plus, it features the inimitable sound of one of my favourite Englishmen....

Thanks for the positive comments, Mario, Oren and particularly Thom  Kiss I thought it would be a bit 'sloppy' for you, mate. I know how exacting you are.  Wink

Anyway .... to follow that ....
This is another collab between Kara (France) and Offthewall (England), now known as The Franglies.
It is based on a song from the early 1950’s by Connie Francis called Among My Souvenirs. About that time there was a bit of a fashion for ‘parodies’ of current songs.
As a young boy growing up at that time I have fond memories of my favourite Aunt regularly bursting into song at any family gathering or party with this particular parody, which was considered quite ‘risque’ in those days.

Kara : piano, bass, drums
Offthewall : electric guitar, vocals.

@Azell ...

You may be pleased to know that 'Souvenirs' was voted in at second place over at the KVR contest.
Well done once again, Rony.
