I know exactly what you mean, mate.
There are only two things that actually made me do this.
One was the fact that I was reminded of that 'pan' track which Wyatt did for me, and I thought this would be a suitable use for it.
The other was the fact that I did have that apprenticeship in industry. As you probably know yourself, working in an engineering environment in the 60's was an experience all of it's own. In the days of 5 year apprenticeships the first year was solely to do with the down to earth practices of learning the old hand-tools. The second year was taken up with learning how to interact with the 'men' ... i.e. making the tea and sweeping up
I somehow thought that I could convey a part of this in a tongue-in-cheek manner
Truth be told ... I can't listen to this stuff any more than you can ... and I certainly won't get to the voting stage.
