Some very sad news

Alan (Cal) Calvin, who developed the yoshimi branch of ZynAddSubFX, passed away on the 2nd July after several years battling with cancer. I always admired his courage and tenacity and will miss him greatly as a friend as well as a very creative developer.

Sorry to read about this Will...this is very sad,indeed. I was always amazed at the altruism of these types of developers and the sound quality that they generate.

This whole creative community thing resonates in a way that completely eclipses critics of electronic music, digital audio, and web-based collaboration. Technical and artistic interaction on the web demonstrates amazing potential for development, in the craft, and in personal relationships of like-minded individuals.
