The Great Barrier

During some shore leave from the Federation,Cap.Kirk,Dr.McCoy & Spock,embark on a journey to the center of the galaxy...where the ultimate cosmic nightclub is rumored to exist.
Along their journey,while stopped at a plasma station to refuel,they run into Mr.Scott & Uhura...thus all joining together to continue the journey to the Great Barrier,to get their groove on.
Upon arriving to the planet just after having breached the Great Barrier,they come to a sign in front of the planet's chamber of commerce,which warns of the planet's unusual level of more dense gravity.
As a result of the gravitational conditions on this planet,which make it very difficult to dance to exceedingly high tempo rates...the global standard,has been set to no more than 105 BPM.
Unbeknownst to the crew of the Enterprise,there is a popular ritual currently taking place in the club scene,whereby certain segments in a lot of the dance songs have areas were the beats are double-timed.
During this interim in the song,adrenalin is pumped into the air compressors in the clubs & is jettisoned into the dance crowd as an aerosol...which gives the patrons the strength to dance with more vigor,thereby having the ability to withstand & defy the gravity a bit more.
As you might have surmised...many cases of hernias,torn ligaments & sprained ankles have resulted amongst the crew of the Enterprise & were all put on medical leave.
