 Roll Eyes
Another apology for the absence  Roll Eyes  I still manage to crop up every time the 'family stuff' allows  Lips Sealed

KVR theme 'Hypnotic'.  Cool

Hmmm. As soon as I saw this theme announced I thought … this is going to be full of entries from those ‘synth-ists’ with their quantizing and pads and sweeps and effects … so I thought I would go ‘minimal’.

One mouth and one instrument.
Vocal ‘click-clack’ shoved through CamelPhat to give the clock tick. All else from Dean acoustic baritone guitar.
CamelPhat, ReaFir, ReaEQ, GlaceVerb, Stillwell flangebaby, VocEqProC, JSdelay/chorus, OverToneGEQ, Q796, BackStageEQ1, all put together with REAPER V4.15.

Video (just for the fun of it) made using Serif MoviePlusX5 with animated watch made in Serif PhotoPlusX4.  http://youtu.be/nRQ-hEl0R8k

Watch the watch
Swing to and fro
Let your mind go blank
And your thoughts … go

You are feeling … sleepy
You are feeling … tired
Let your thoughts … go

The weariness comes over you
Just let it in, to float right through
Watch the watch
Swing to and fro
Let your mind go blank
And your thoughts … just go

Watch the watch
Swing to and fro
Let your mind go blank
And your thoughts … go
Now I’m going to count, back, from 10 down to 1
And then you will be asleep
10 … 9 … etc

Dear James,
Mario has been sitting in front of his computer in a hypnotic state for 2 days.  He hasn’t spoken or moved.  Your “Watch the Watch” YouTube video was on his computer so I’m going to assume it was you.  I just wanted to say thank you!

                     Mario’s wife

PS – Since he has been out of my hair for two days that must have been one hell of the video.  Keep up the good work.

If you can wait until tomorrow I shall make another video where I 'snap my fingers' to wake him up  Roll Eyes

Dear James,

Thank you for the offer but lets just leave him there.  Even when he is awake he sits like a lump on a log in front of his computer.

                  Sincerely
                  Mario’s wife

Well, what have we here?

I think you're the only one who took a 'traditionalist' approach to this, and it works very well.

It's a strange thing ....  Roll Eyes
over the past six months, or so, I have acquired a number of software applications and sound libraries in anticipation of the day when my advancing arthritis means that I am struggling too much with the fretted instruments  Lips Sealed
Each time, since then, that there has been a theme or challenge it has been something that I find, personally, to be more fitting for my old school approach  Undecided
Still ... when the day comes .... etc  Cool

Other than that ... I am still in the first flush of a huge love affair with this 'multi-use' swiss-army-knife of a baritone acoustic bass guitar conversion  Kiss  The versatility of this beast is quite overpowering, and the 34" scale is actually a lot easier on the old joints than one would imagine  Tongue

Thanks for the comments.
