Database problems

One user has reported a problem with database lookups. He gets a error message of the sort;
 
ERROR:<Line 8><File:zingaro.mma>
     Unable to locate library file
'/home/bob/src/bv/mma/lib/stdlib/metronome.mma'

The simple solution is to do a "sudo mma -G" to regenerate the database (the sudo is to force root mode, depending on your platform this might be different or not needed.).

What I don't understand is that the deb package from my site does a explicit "mma -G" as part of the install. Is there another package out there not doing this? So did the user somehow manage to bypass that.

Whatever, the next mma will have a database test and a warning/solution printed if this seems to be a problem.

Just want to say I'm incredibly impressed with your dedication here. I've only had a couple of brief looks at MMA, but it is fascinating seeing the way it is developing.

Now if I just had some of that magic fairy dust aka 'free time' !

Hope you find time to spend with MMA this year. It really can generate some useful (and good) tracks.

I'm hoping that, this year, more folks with contribute new groove libraries to the project!
