Thanks for the kind words, both.
I'll pack the files up tomorrow and pop'em on GDrive for you, Will.

Will.
Everything stuffed into a GoogleDrive folder for you to play with and sent to your e-mail.
You should've been granted access to it but let me know if you have problems.
Also let me know when you have it all downloaded so I can delete to keep space free.
Please feel free to do whatever you fancy with it.
Thanks for allowing me to play.

Made a bit of a start on this, but mostly just getting everything together in the editor I use.
I've done a bit of filtering on the main vocal as it has a pronounced hump around 200Hz. I don't know if that's a room mode, or proximity effect of the mic (more noticeable on some mikes), but combined with the other tracks which also had content in that region, it was making things a bit 'muddy'.

I've also done some stereo positioning.

To be continued Smiley

Well, it took a while, but here we go.
First of all, as I mentioned I filtered out a resonance in the main vocal, I then widened the stereo positioning so it would like there are 5 distinct 'players' with just the main singer/guitarist in the centre.

I then had lots of fun trying to balance the levels - not easy when the parts are mostly in different parts of the spectrum.

As for adding anything myself, well I couldn't find anything that actually added to the song rather than detracting from it, so it's still all your work James Smiley

Nice clean-up and mixing job, Will.
The only thing that isn't to my taste is the vocal levels.
I like an upfront vocal but feel that in this instance they are too pronounced, particularly the chorus back-ups.
Just my taste, of course. All else sounds nice and *live*.
Pity you didn't have anything to add.

Great job gentlemen wOO

To nitpick I think the harmonica should come up in volume.  I would like it to be around the same volume as James vocals.  The rest of the song sounds great. YMMV
