Hi all

This is the first piece I've finished in 2008. Not sure what genre it is, if any.

Hi FM,

wow, great intro! Very intriguing song.
I liked the strings a lot. Great melodical use. Full of feeling.
I enjoyed it also because it doesnt fit in any genre  Wink
As it shares a special feel it could be used as a soundtrack I think.
Really, really good, thanks!!

bye

Great bass part. Very nice work.

I'm not too fond of the crash sound though (maybe eq) The snare is a bit too repetitive for my taste and also mixed very upfront. It takes a lot of energy and attention away from the rest of the song imo.

Definitifly a good intro, it catches you immediatly  Cool
I actually like that snare, it goes well with the song, perhaps a tad to much upfront, as Martin allready said ?

I love the composition, nicely put together
Not something you hear every day

this is very interesting, I like it from the 1st listen.
I love the use of violin. In a rock contest it sounds almost like those atmospheres Kansas used to build.
Great melodies and fine production
There could be more variations in the drum part, Superb bass line
well done

Cheers

This was an interesting piece of work.  I really liked this one.

Great violin work against some very interesting backgrounds!  Loved it.

I did think the crash and the snare were to up front, especially when the balance of the song sounded so great with the drums/percussion in the background.

This is a keeper.

Thanks for listening guys. I'm glad you liked it.

The general concensus seems to be that the snare and crash need to come down in volume a bit. Thanks - I'll give that a try.

I think I pretty much agree with everyone else here.

It is a refreshingly different composition, and the violin really does work well with the rest.

Don't bother about what genre it's supposed to be. It's a style of its own Smiley
