This is the famous jazz standard worsened my way  Evil
There are many layers of sounds to recreate the trumpet and sax ensable, to be more realistic as possible
I didn't change the composition just the sounds and I had fun playing bass and guitar and addin my dirty touch to lead lines  Roll Eyes

Take 5

I hope the jazz purists will forgive me...

Cheers

I'm one of the real jazz purist here  Evil
Now should I forgive you....  Huh

At first listening i was thinking 'No, I will never forgive him'  Shocked Roll Eyes
The after the second listen, I tought 'it's actually not that bad'
and after a couple listenings I tought 'this is good'  Grin

I like the new dress of this classic, it sounds realy fresh.
And i notice that good solo in the break, well done !

So yes, I like it
I wonder if Dave Brubeck would like this

For those that don't know the original : http://youtube.com/watch?v=DDOgYw5-pNs
So where's that drum-solo Laguna  Grin
There is allso a good funky version from George Benson : http://youtube.com/watch?v=7Df_7IaKmfI&feature=related

Your music is always good to listen to LR! You don't make music I don't enjoy Cheesy  Along with the overall lunacy, there's some real nice touches in there. You certainly don't need my forgiveness Grin

Of course it doesn't have the jazz feel of the original. Who cares Wink It has Laguna's signature all over it and that's good enough for me.

Well I had some trepidation about listening to this as I know the original so well.

I think I'll let you off though ... just Wink

It's an original and fresh arrangement, and different enough so that I don't find myself making comparisons.

The guitar and bass stuff must have been difficult!

I've heard this one a time or two, from different artists, and for my taste, yours is as good as any.

Take a bow, Maestro!
