Since there is a Autobahn theme marathon happening here,I figured that I would continue it,as it never ceases to be fun. Cheesy

Cool ! this wave of autobahn music is going on  Grin
This is based on rhythm and it has a good bassline (maybe could be a bit more loud)
Good synth textures. Very odd synth hits in the middle (original idea!)
I enjoyed it

Cheers

L.R.,

I wanted the drums to be the centerpiece in the beginning and I then wanted the synth bass to be more pronounced later in the song,so that's why the levels are where they are at.

Thanks for the input & compliments. Smiley

Hi Thom,

Great song..its got a lot of drive.  Wink  ..and real nice development too.

Cool photo..been a long time since I saw a nice '62  like that..looks like a real killer sound system, too.

I'd like to hear it playing this song of yours..now that would shake up the Autobahn!!

 Cool

Wyatt

Hey Wyatt,

Thanks for the nice review. 8)The hot rod is from the Wildwood car show I used to attend every year down there.

There's a satisfying mechanical feel to this one, evoking images of pistons, pushrods and pulleys.

I had a 1963 Rambler Ambassador with a 327 hi-performance Chevy engine crammed under the hood. Sounded a lot like that. especially with the windshield wipers engaged....  Roll Eyes

Creative bit of sonic imagery, Thom  Smiley

Very nice! Cheesy
But for a German motorway the rhythm is too slow.

Oren,

Since I've been saving most of the keyboard parts for my analogue synths(Alesis Ion in this case, until I get my X-Station),it has left me with more room to play with effects for just the drums-meaning that I have 5 insert effects to play with on my Korg.
For the drum tracks in this piece,I've used a combination of compresser,7 band eq and a pitch shifter effect to get that mechanical feel.

Speaking of hot rods...I used to have a 71 Dodge Dart stuffed with a 318 V8 and the muffler pipe was disengaged from the manifold, along with busted engine mounts on the right side....so you can imagine what that sounded like when it took off! Evil

Thanks for your poetic review & compliments. Cheesy

Andreas,

Thank you for the compliment. Smiley

As for the slow rythym..well..I'll just have to make another version with a higher bpm! Evil Grin

Should have kept the Dodge, man. Righteous piece of American iron.... Cool
