I read somewhere that without the moon orbiting the Earth, living conditions on Earth would be vastly different because the Moon has an effect on the Earth's axis of rotation. I kinda turned this relationship between Earth and Moon into a love affair. I never really like to make use of transposing in my songs but this time I managed to transpose twice in one song http://www.martin-e-music.nl/mp3/Sign-of-Leo/The-moon-of-love.mp3

Very nice ! But... ...well, this is not space music... lol All jokes aside, this is another interesting song, and I appreciate the deep-tone vocals much more than other tracks from you, probably due to the quiet backing tracks. A beautiful composition. Perfect arrangement, I don't know how much you work on every mix you post here, but I must admit you achieve an excellent quality every time. Cheers

I immediately recognised your style from the intro, but the way you've handled the vocal is very different. Using a lower key like this seems to make your voice sound more 'rounded'

Thanks Laguna and Folderol.
The vocals are in a very different range than my usual stuff. Hence the somewhat different tone of voice. But also my approach to the vocals was different.
And yes I do work quite a bit on my mixes though it's usual the same problem areas one has to deal with and over time you get more astute in coping with them.

Martin, This song is a shining example of what can be done to create a outer space mood, without having to add synthesizers....it's a brilliant organic approach....reminiscent of the song "Walking On The Moon",by the Police! I love your vocal style in this one, as I am delighted by how you customized your vocals to create this wonderful atmosphere.... some really premium tunage here dude! This song is flawless from top to bottom & is of the all time Martin E. classics that have made their way into my file folder....wow! -Thom

Wow, guys. I didn't expect this song to go down that well. Thanks very much. I may have to reevaluate my own perception of it. +1 on the lower vocal..very easily apprehended. You make it sound so effortless! Wyatt Well it wasn't that effortlessly. It had me having a fit of coughing when I was finished.

This is really super
I think this is something that Jim Morrison would sing if he were alive today. Parts of this reminded me of the Doors.

Thanks, Mario
Yes, it does have a bit of a Doors vibe to it, now you mention it.

Although this one has no real chorus, it's an enjoyable song. Very atmospheric. I also like your vocals on this one and the fact that you made a different approach.

Although this one has no real chorus, it's an enjoyable song. Thanks, Talvin. Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, on the subject of what is a real chorus. That's open for debate. So just some thoughts on that. For example I've been listening to the band "Death Cab For Cutie" lately and a lot of their songs do not have a real chorus but they are great songs none the less. Not that it inspired me to write this song because I had already written it. But it something I've been tinkering with myself. Maybe I'm not that focused on that killer chorus anymore like I used to be. Which doesn''t mean I will never write a song with a real chorus anymore though
