Hello, everybody.

I just finshed recording my new song called "chords & notes & keys" and now I´m curious what you think about it. Keep in mind that it isn´t finished yet. There are a couple of things I need to tweak...my vocalsf or instance, which are quite shaky at times. I hope can enjoy the track nontheless.

~~~ Chords & Notes & Keys ~~~
Everytime when I am down
You can hear the weirdest sounds
Coming out of my surround sound speakers
When life turns out to be too cruel
Songs are something to dive into
I get consumed from my ironic T-shirt to my Sneakers
I know it is just a loophole
I can slip through to escape
But sometimes chords & notes & keys
Can capture the essence of dreams
Better than dreams
How black and silver plates can hold
A universe so great and bold
And colourful and deep, oh, it escapes me
The entire record-industry
Still exists because of me
Cause when I´m sad I buy CDs and I bought quite a lot lately
I know it is just a loophole
I can slip through to escape
But sometimes chords & notes & keys
Can capture the essence of dreams
Better than dreams
Thank you for listening!
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
You have a lot going for you here wOO
The backing tracks are outstanding and the harmonies are also great. The lyrics are phenomenal; I really like them, great work
Personally I would end the song with the harmonies and not the single voice, but that may be just me.
As you indicated the lead vocal needs work.  Maybe changing the melody line to something with smaller intervals may work, don’t know.
This is one you should really polish as I believe this has a lot of potential   wOO
Well it's not often you hear a song about singing Smiley
This is very enjoyable track, both from the point of view of the lyrics and the overal style. it all fits.
Yes, you need to do some work on this. As Mario said, that lead vocal could do with some improvement (I wouldn't even think about attempting those intervals) but overal it's pretty much OK.
Charming! Part of what makes this song work is its "in-the-process" feel. An improved melody vocal would be good, but leaving some rough edges in the production may be a good idea.
Very nice. My only suggestion might be to move the vocal parts up front to improve intelligibility.
 Having said that, I'm with Oren. This is just so gut wrenchingly honest and real as it is that polishing might diminish that quality.
Love the organ part.
Wonderful song. Great atmosphere. Like the build-up you create with the arrangement. Especially the reverb drowned choir is very nicely done.
Hi Dan,
It is indeed-enjoyable to hear the process of a budding song,as Oren mentioned.As far as input goes-in terms of what direction to take to polish this piece...well...what is there to say?You know just what to do with this & I'm looking forward to hearing the end result.
