Just to let some concerned folks know,I rode the storm without incident and in fact,it was just a day at the beach.
Tropical storms always weaken significantly,by the time they reach this area,so I was not worried.
Nothing catastrophic has ever occurred here as long as I've been alive, which makes N.J. one of the safest places to live in this country. For the most part, there was heavy rainfall and some stout breezes and that was the worst of it,as it did not have enough strength to knock out my electricity.
As for Mario,he lives an hour east of Buffalo and I've been tracking the storm since it left here and it appears that he probably experienced no worse than what I did,if that.
I live about 10 miles inland, whereas Mario lives about 200 miles inland,so I am sure he's perfectly fine.
