There is a keyboard forum that has an area specifically for the purpose of sharing photos of people's studios & gear which I thought was a fun concept.
I thought it would be a cool idea to have that here in this forum.
I am curious to know if this would spark any interest amongst this crowd here?

Looking at pictures of studios is allways fun Which remembers me that I have to clean up my studio, it is a real mess at the moment. Nobody wants to see a studio like that... k

This is a good idea. I'll kick off with a pic that I took a few weeks ago for a friend.....but since then I've inherited an old Roland KR-650 so have now re-arranged everything. Have to take some more pics. James

Ok, I guess I can embarrass myself here as well as any other place.. All cabinets,desks in pictures I built myself to accomodate my stuff (I'm a carpenter for steady pay, musician/engineer for extra$$) My main mixxing station, where I do most of my work- Here's where I shove my guitar,bass and boards into when they are not pulled out for use; I call it my corner mess- My main mixer station- and the mastering cabinet in the other room (extremely load and clear)- and last for now is my beat up Steinberg- Hey, I have fun with it all.. We started a topic down in the hardware area of what kinds of gear we use/own. Maybe these should get combined somehow..I'll leave the horns and older keys out of this one.

Woah,I did not expect the studio & gear photo section to start here,as I meant starting a whole new category for it-but this is cool...a good place as any I guess. I might as well throw my gear on here as well. I refer to my set up as a studio,but technically-it is not one,as you can see-I'm still working on it

OK, how are you guys doing the thumbnail-to-full size picture links? I haven't figured that out here. Are you actually doint the html code or is there a shortcut I'm missing here? If you are doing the actual code I already know how to do that, but it appears there's a shortcut in the software here (?).. I was lazy and just linked the pics from photobucket.com.
Looks like some nice monitors there elwoodblues. I did one of those 'down the keyboard' shots too! I like that perspective. Havin fun and lovin' it.

Rharv, It's real simple what I've done with my pics,actually.I just uploaded from my camera using the Camera Wizard program that came with my pc & I put the photos in my documents folder. Then it was just a matter of extracting my photos from my folder using the additonal options & presto! Yeah, I absolutely worship my Adam A7 monitors & I could write an essay here,as to why I think they are the most stellar monitors on the market for the price,but I'll leave that description for the hardware section. While I think they are a bargain for what they do,they would not be considered as budget speakers by some,due to thier price tag of a grand per pair. Well,I'm tickled to see my suggestion of this thread taking flight...hope to see alot more photos down the road

Thanks for sharing the photos..man, don't be embarrassed, you did a nice job on the furniture, (before I became a vagabond house carpenter, my apprenticeship was in furniture making.) Whats embarrassing is to be a carpenter and have studio furniture out of a box from Office Depot! I'll post some pictures too, in the year 2012, when I finally get around to cleaning up the messes!! Ok..until I get rid of the paperwork pinned all over my walls, this will have to do! Heres a photo of my "instant studio" ..set up overnight after over a year on the road: ..this was taken before everything was in there..before it got truly choked with multi-level cardboard boxes. ..added a Custom Shop Stratocaster: ..and then there is the "drum machine" : ..now I have a studio filled up with fancy office furniture my Lady bought me so that I wouldn't have to take time from other projects to build furniture for myself. I have so much stuff in here now that I have had to save a path to walk through! Wyatt

I had to go back in time to get photos of it when it was still that neat!
..the first morning I woke up in this house, my first recording session was in an empty garage..nice ambiance for the harp!
..and gratefully, I do get time to enjoy it all. Thanks for your comments.

Nice room,Wyatt.The bottom half of the room has a nice Santa Fe red to it. Really dig the bongos too.
Here is a few picks of my old,make-shift studio;

Well, in keeping with my equipment, my erm, studio is pretty minimalist. It's actually the dining room (2nd reception in estate-agent-speak) that has taken me 7 years to fail to decorate! I'm sure my setup will make you all feel a lot better Yes, that is a real record player! Home built in the 1970s and I use it as a monitor amp. It has a built-in stack of rechargables so I run it with the power cord unplugged when recording (no earth loops). You can just see one of the speakers - also home built at the same time, and sitting on top of it is my headphone amp. This is much more modern c.1980 The Monitor sits on my Sound Canvas, and the little box over the synth (SY35) is a pair of fully isolated DC supplies for the both the synths. The computer is hidden under the table and is the only point of earthing. It has a dual-core athlon. The big window in the display is the Rosegarden main window. The larger Square one is ZynAddSubFX main window. The small square one is Time Machine. The meter display is configured for VU mode and gives very close approximation to what real analog meters do.
